I make an assembly in nx cad when i put explode in assembly but iam not able to these explode view in drawing Hi Satish, Try this one. Please don't confuse. Any doubt in below thing please aske me again. In Nx we need to create separate explode in model and drafting mode.

In Model, i think you know well about expode view shown in modeling environment. So we disucssed drafting below. In Drafting, After everything completed in drawing, we need to insert the exploded view in drawing.

So we need to change mode from drafting environment to modeling environment in drawing file Not in your assembly part model. Here you will move parts at certain distance. Explosion completed now in drawing file Modeling mode.

How does Amazon calculate star ratings?When I try to create part list in drafting no all parts appears in table. There should be over 80 parts but in part list red boundry appears only 4. Pls check the attachment. I have one more question to this drawing. Are you able to answer me why I can not make autoballon on isometric view and detaile view at the same time? The parts list is generated from the components in the assembly.

Take the same screenshot, but with the assembly navigator open. Also, check the "assembly levels" of the parts list.

This option can be changed to show different levels of the assembly. If the 4 items that show up in the list are themselves sub-assemblies, then the "assembly levels" option is probably not set to what you want.

Another thing to look out for is "drafting components"; these are views added from other part files. They add a special icon to the assembly navigator, but they do not appear in the parts list. Because you are right, now in part list the subassemblies only appears that why there is only 4 position in the table.

When I try to create part list in the sheet which is show below some error apear. Do you know maybe how I can solvce it? It's not an error, but a warning. You're attempting to add multiple parts lists to your drawing file.

This value prevents you from inserting multiple parts lists in a single part file and allows ID symbols balloons to synchronize with the item numbers in the parts list. You can set this variable's value to 0, which allows multiple parts lists to be inserted, however, your balloons will not update with any of the parts lists.

I agree that this is more of a warning situation rather than an error; but to make that clear, Siemens should use the warning icon exclamation point on yellow background rather than the big red X, and get rid of the word "error" in the message box title bar.

I thought the settings used for the drawing in 8. NX 10 pref looks like reset to the shipped values.

How to Edit Drawing and Title Block in NX 10

So, where does NX10 get the drafting preferences by default? This is problematic because when we will need to update existing parts, we will have to open the draft pref first, reload settings from customer defaults every single time.

That's why I would like to know from where the initial settings are coming from. Look at your NX Drafting Template. This is named in your PAX file. The preference are saved in this file. For Existing Files you probably have to load from customer defaults if there was changes from what you are seeing. The problem is with existing files. I was expecting them to have their preferences to at least stay as defined in NX8. Note that at some point NX went from 3 line widths to 9. There are ways ENV variables or, in NX10, customer defaults for how to map the old widths to the new.

Note we're going from NX7. I spent one hour with GTAC this morning and they are trying to reproduce the issue. It's working just fine when the files are created in NX8. Something is problably happening when TC get into the mix. We encountered this difference in the line weights when we upgraded to NX9 from NX7. When we open an existing drawing in NX9, the line weights as previously specified in that drawing are honoured.

If we create a new drawing, or a new view in an existing drawing, the new line weights are used. What we've discovered is that the line weights we thought we were using in NX7. We've had to override the plot settings, and it took a certain amount of trial and error.

In broad terms, our customer defaults were brought forward into NX9 unchanged, but we still had to go through and check them.

The most frustrating thing is that the drafting preferences aren't displayed in the same sequence as the drafting customer defaults - in many cases, they even have different names, which makes it virtually impossible to be certain that you are comparing the same thing.

Following Ken suggestion about line widths change, I tumbled upon the correct settings Gateway, Line widths and then Conversion. I took me a while because our site standard was not up to date in respect to our templates. But still, it doesn't explained why existing drawing drafting preferences are not preserved in NX10 waiting answer from GTAC.
